As a 2021 Technology Ambassador, what has been your favorite lesson so far? ?

I enjoyed the AWS training. It was very informative. I am studying to get my Cloud Practitioner Certification with Amazon. After completing online training, I was able to practice using the AWS training console and labs that are available. Also, I was able to talk directly to professional engineers working in the field. They had great info on real world experience.

As you learn more about the broadcasting industry, what elements of this industry inspire you?

I am inspired by the way technology is changing how we communicate to the community. With internet speeds continuing to be enhanced, people are finding new and fast ways to stay connected and get informed. Social media sites are increasing very rapidly. The way equipment now can communicate with each other with an internet connection. Families can watch movies together at the same time in different homes through group watching apps. There are great new ways to communicate and stay connected and more to come.

The NAB Leadership Foundation works with current and aspiring leaders to build the future of broadcasting. What do you hope for in the future of broadcasting?

Our industry has a unique advantage in that we create trusted, human relationships with our audiences via our broadcasters. These relationships have been well earned and have spanned the range of emotions from pure joy to unexpected tragedy. We have been invited into American homes for decades because of this trust. My hope is that we as an industry continue to be at the forefront of these moments and conversations while expanding and enhancing our products through the blending of advanced technology and broadcast.
