The Emerson Coleman Fellowship Program

Curriculum

The ECF program will provide college sophomores, juniors, seniors, recent graduates and industry professionals with mentoring, training and professional development in the following areas:

  • Creative Content Development
    Gain an understanding of how to develop compelling stories from concept to visuals, and writing, editing and promoting and positioning projects to potential buyers.

  • Programming and Scheduling
    Learn about defining and building an audience, syndication in programming and digitization of content.

  • Career Preparation
    Build your resume and learn how to prepare for an interview and network within the industry.


The NAB Leadership Foundation will attempt to assign students to host locations that will not require the additional expense of housing during the two-month period. Fellows will also be assigned a mentor at their host company and have the opportunity for a one-on-one mentoring session with Emerson Coleman.

Each fellow will be paired with a host television station. This internship portion of the fellowship lasts two months and will take place from June to July. Capstone Project

During the program, each participant will be responsible for a capstone project. Participants will receive training from industry professionals and guidance from their mentors as they complete their projects.
