Washington, DC -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF), in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA), launched attendee and recruiter registration for the annual Career Day during the 2012 NAB Show. Located in the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino Pavilion on Wednesday, April 18, Career Day will provide experienced professionals, college students and entry-level job seekers with the opportunity to network and interview with media industry recruiters.
"Career Day provides new and experienced broadcast professionals with a unique opportunity to interact with media companies from around the country," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. "Networking activities, educational sessions and individual career coaching create exceptional value for job seekers."
Sponsored by Edge Technology Services and AJA Video Systems, Career Day will feature sessions on personal brand management, effective networking and navigating the challenging employment market. Aspiring and entry-level professionals will have access to the popular one-on-one career coaching sessions that emphasize resume critiquing and image consulting. Pre-registration is available for attendees, and admission is free with the registration code CF12. Both registrants and non-registrants of NAB Show may attend.
Professionals from a large variety of broadcast and media companies will be available to answer questions from anyone interested in job opportunities and internships. Past recruiters include Bonneville International, CNN/Turner Broadcasting, ESPN, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc., PBS Las Vegas, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, The Star Radio and Univision Radio/KISF KRGT KLSQ.
Companies interested in registering as a recruiter for the event must complete the recruiter registration form. All registered recruiters will receive EEO credit for participating in Career Day.
