WASHINGTON, DC - The NAB Education Foundation announced today that Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry will present awards at the 2006 NABEF Service to America Awards Gala on Monday, June 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, DC.
Berry, a Tulsa native and University of Oklahoma student, is also the national spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She will be presenting the awards to independently-owned KVAK-AM/FM Valdez, AK, and Univision-owned WLTV-TV Miami, FL for their outstanding programs, campaigns and public service announcements produced for the benefit of children.

The Service to America Awards is presented by the NABEF with major support from Bonneville International Corporation and the National Association of Broadcasters. This year's Leadership Award winner is Former President William Jefferson Clinton. Gulf Coast broadcasters and broadcasters nationwide will be honored for their public service efforts before, during and after
Hurricane Katrina with the Samaritan Award. In recent years, NABEF has recognized First Lady Laura Bush, former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalyn Carter, former First Lady Nancy Reagan, boxing legend Muhammad Ali and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for their extraordinary service in bettering the lives of others.
